We re looking for a talented Mechanical Engineering Co-op student who loves designing, building, and flying things to join our team at MORSE Corp. As a co-op student, you ll work on exciting projects involving aircraft designs, autonomous vehicles, sensor integration, and real-time embedded software. We need someone who can apply their problem-solving skills to rapid prototyping and has experience with aerial vehicles, mechatronics, or robotics.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to take ownership of projects from start to finish. If you enjoy tinkering with electronics and are always up for learning new tech, we want to hear from you!
- Design, build, and flight test prototypes of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)
- Apply problem-solving skills to rapidly prototype and test novel ideas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate hardware and software components
- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
- Take ownership of projects from concept to delivery
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a US security clearance
- Currently pursuing a BS or BA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience applying first principles to solve complex problems
- Familiarity with Solid Works, Altium, or other CAD programs
- Experience with unmanned aerial systems (fixed wing & VTOL platforms), flight controllers, power systems, sensors, navigation, communications, and R/C-based solutions
- Proven experience with prototyping fabrication techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and laser cutting
- Strong understanding of aircraft design, flight mechanics, and aircraft stability and control
- Pay range transparency: MORSE Corp pay range for this role may vary based on experience, location, and other factors
Compensation
$27 - $33 USD
