Alva is developing advanced energy systems and seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to build and operate the internal infrastructure, security, and software reliability practices that support our engineering team. You will establish and run Alva’s internal cybersecurity program, including data loss prevention, manage core internal systems, and work closely with engineers to improve code quality, validation, and reliability.
Infrastructure, security, and operations:- Establish and manage Alva’s internal cybersecurity program, including security policies, controls, monitoring, and employee practices, to protect company systems.
- Lead implementation of data loss prevention measures across internal systems and endpoints.
- Manage internal server infrastructure, including configuration, backup, and recovery.
- Own identity and access management, including user provisioning, permissions, authentication.
- Manage Alva’s internal VPN and secure network access tools.
- Identify and manage infrastructure and cybersecurity risks; improve incident response readiness, logging, and recovery procedures.
- Support onboarding by setting up accounts, permissions, devices, secure access.
- Evaluate and implement tools for secure development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and systems administration.
- Help implement CI/CD pipelines, code review standards, testing requirements, and automated checks.
- Support root-cause investigation of software and test failures; implement corrective and preventive actions and support engineering documentation.
- 5–10+ years of experience in Dev Ops, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, or related roles.
- Hands‑on experience administering internal servers, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, identity and access controls, backups, and secure network access.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, automated testing, code quality checks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience also considered.
