Mechanical Engineer – Vision Systems

I’m working with a US-based manufacturing AI and vision start-up who are currently going through some exciting growth plans, and are recruiting for a Vision Systems Hardware Engineer to support with their customer-facing projects.

This Hardware Engineer will be focused on testing different types of products and hardware for the business including off-the-shelf products as well as 3rd party hardware (cameras, lighting, sensors, etc.). This role would be making and providing blueprints to integrators/installers in the field who work on customer sites, and will be supporting on the overall design, configuration and deployment for hardware setups on a project-by-project basis.

• Demonstrable experience working in a systems integration, hardware engineering or solutions role with a focus on machine vision systems – should have exposure to industrial cameras, lenses, lighting and sensors
• We’re looking for someone that has experience with prototyping hardware and CAD designs, and has exposure to using CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.)
• Ideally have worked with machine vision systems in an R&D capacity, with exposure to relevant software/platforms (Cognex, Keyence, Omron, etc.)
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering education background
