Senior Electrical Engineer – Reality‑Based Systems (Onsite)
Location:
Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role requires U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

As a senior electrical engineer you will lead the design and development of custom electronics for real‑time embedded systems.
What You Will Do- Lead interdisciplinary project teams in designing, analyzing, and prototyping multi‑domain system architectures.
- Develop real‑time control system architectures to enhance performance of physical systems.
- Design and fabricate custom hardware for detection, classification, localization, and tracking (DCLT) algorithms in high‑noise environments.
- Create experimental hardware for quantum information, integrated photonic, and other physical sciences pursuits.
- Support implementation and evaluation of real‑time systems in realistic mission scenarios and conduct operational analysis.
- STEM degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years.
- Demonstrated leadership of end‑to‑end electrical engineering projects with multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Experience in analog and digital circuit design for physical phenomena (acoustics, optics, vibration, electromagnetics).
- Experience with high‑speed serial interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, sFPDP, and SPI.
- Proficient in writing formal test procedures, board‑level testing, and use of electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Design experience using Altera or Xilinx FPGA/CPLD.
- Analog sensor interface design with circuits such as ICP, CVLD, acoustic and IR transducers, anti‑aliasing/reconstruction filters, A/D and D/A interfaces.
- Circuit simulation and analysis skills using Spice, LT‑Spice, and MATLAB.
- Low‑power electronics design for battery‑powered applications.
- Knowledge of product certification based on military and commercial standards (UL/FCC, MIL‑STD‑810, 461, 704).
