Guidance, Navigation, and Control; GNC Mission Analyst

The Hypersonic and Advanced Weapons group at Draper is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Mission Analyst to work within multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and advance the performance of next‑generation weapon system concepts for both strategic and tactical mission domains.

• Perform analysis approaches for specific problems and independently execute assignments.
• Execute system engineering lifecycle assignments, including concept and architecture design, integration, testing, and operation.
• Contribute high‑quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
• Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with design decisions and communicate them to project leadership.
• Contribute to the updates of best practices and processes to reflect the most up‑to‑date tools and procedures.
• Work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, including stakeholders and external partners.
• Translate requirements into technical and architectural decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering, Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Trade Space Exploration (TSE), Machine Learning, and Data Science.

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering field. Master’s degree preferred.

Requires 3‑5 years of experience in systems analysis or related fields. Experience with MBSE tools such as SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, and integration of descriptive modeling tools with other simulation tools.
