Principal Systems Engineer Job Cambridge area,Massachusetts USA,Engineering

Principal Systems Engineer – Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS and Ghost Eye Radars. This role is 100% onsite at a customer facility in Cambridge, MA, and requires U.S. citizenship and a current Secret security clearance.

What You Will Do

Core Systems Engineering:
Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces.
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):
Develop and maintain detailed SysML system models, link and synchronize requirements, and generate design documentation and views.
Interface with cross‑functional teams such as Electrical and Software engineering to guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Frequent interface with Customer and other program stakeholders and collaborators.
Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews, provide constructive feedback, and document and provide technical guidance to other members of the design team.
Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers and non‑technical team members.

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware.
Experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus.
Experience with DOORs, MBSE, and Cameo/Magic Draw.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in software, hardware, electrical and/or mechanical design.
Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation.
Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORs and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo/Magic Draw.
Experience managing trade studies and design decisions.
Experience effectively presenting ideas to senior level stakeholders.
