Overview
Our client is a post-start up technology company based in Cambridge UK. The company has a growing customer base across the world in pharmaceutical, electronics, and medical imaging sectors. Due to continued expansion, a Formulations Project Manager opportunity has arisen. The company offers imaging and spectroscopy services to its pharmaceutical customers. The aim of this role is to provide the technical link between the customer, the sales person and the Applications Team and, in so doing, to manage these services.
The company services its customers either through the provision of proprietary analytical equipment or through the provision of technical services. The Formulations Project Manager role is focused around the delivery of these services to its growing pharmaceutical customer base.
- Act as the technical link between customers, sales staff and the Applications Team to manage services delivered to pharmaceutical customers.
- Ensure on-time delivery of projects and build technical relationships with customers to enable future projects.
- Provide technical support to ensure projects are properly scoped and aid order closure.
- Through relationship management, support the sales person to secure more projects and increase value per project.
- A Life Science or Physical Science degree.
- Proven experience in solid dosage formulation process development and manufacturing, ideally within a contracting environment.
- Experience in a commercial environment, likely working for a contract service organization, with some client visits.
- Experience and knowledge of using analytical equipment (e.g., NIR, Raman).
- Some knowledge/experience of cGMP and quality management systems; knowledge of QbD and PAT would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including presenting technical concepts to customers with diverse knowledge bases from R&D scientists and engineers to non-technical customers.
- A willingness to travel internationally.
