Electronics Designer- SolidWorks

ELECTRICAL DESIGNER> Solid Works Contract 6+ months M-F 40 hours weekly This position is 100% Onsite in Cambridge, MA U.S. citizenship required Our Client designs and builds cutting edge instruments for ground and space-based astronomical and astrophysical research. We currently are seeking an experienced Electronics Designer. The assignment is anticipated to be 6 months in duration with the possibility of extension.

This position may transition to a direct hire at a later date. Requirements Experience using SOLIDWORKS Electrical for electrical system design and documentation Strong background in industrial electronics, including hands-on experience with Beckhoff Automation platforms (e.g., PLCs, I/O systems) Experience designing and documenting system cabling, wiring diagrams, and harnesses Ability to develop and optimize chassis layouts, including component placement and thermal/mechanical considerations Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS for mechanical integration and collaboration with mechanical engineering teams Solid understanding of electrical standards, safety practices, and manufacturing documentation Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout would be a plus
