** Join the power movement as a Metrology Engineer
** CFS is seeking a motivated Metrology Engineer to develop, validate, and deploy inspection methods for highly engineered hardware supporting the SPARC project. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with complex parts and advanced measurement systems, partnering closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Quality, and R&D to ensure hardware meets demanding performance and reliability requirements.

Schedule:

** Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
** Salary Range**: $99, (includes 10% shift differential)### What you'll do:
* Develop and refine advanced mechanical inspection techniques to solve complex measurement challenges
* Qualify and document inspection methods in partnership with Quality Engineering (procedures, work instructions, and evidence of capability)
* Collaborate daily with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to support production readiness and rapid issue resolution
* Support evaluation and selection of new metrology equipment and technologies, including ROI, capability, and implementation planning
* Maintain metrology equipment and standards; execute 5S and calibration/verification activities as applicable
* Provide design-for-inspection input during drawing release, GD&T definition, and development of inspection standards
* Cross-train as a Quality Technician and perform routine inspections as needed to support throughput
* Summarize, visualize, and present critical dimensional inspection results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Design and procure inspection fixturing and tooling to enable accurate, repeatable measurements###

What we’re looking for:

* Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience in lieu of a degree
* 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or field environment
* Demonstrated experience developing advanced metrology/inspection techniques
* Strong communication skills, including presenting technical information to broad audiences
* Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and apply GD&T
* Working knowledge of standard machining and fabrication processes
* Experience programming metrology and/or manufacturing equipment
* CAD design experience
* CMM programming experience (ZEISS Calypso preferred)
* Experience using portable metrology equipment (e.g., Creaform, laser tracker, CMM arm)
* CAD design experience (Siemens NX preferred)
* Working knowledge of quality systems fundamentals
* Comfort using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) or similar collaboration platforms### Bonus points for:
