Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Principal Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS and Ghost Eye Radars. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment.
What You Will Do- Core Systems Engineering:
Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces - Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):
Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, linking and synchronization of requirements, and generate design documentation / views - Interface with cross functional teams, such as Electrical and Software engineering, to help guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle
- Frequent interface with Customer and other program stakeholders and collaborators
- Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews and provide constructive feedback;
Document and provide technical guidance to other members of the design team - Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers and non-technical team members
This role is based ~100% onsite at a customer facility in Cambridge, MA.
Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
- Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware; experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus
- Experience with DOORs, MBSE, and Cameo / Magic Draw.
- Experience in software, hardware, electrical and/or mechanical design.
- Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation.
- Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORs and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo / Magic Draw.
- Experience managing trade studies and design decisions.
- Experience effectively presenting ideas to senior level stakeholders.
- Experience in all phases of development: concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test.
- Experience supporting design reviews during all phases of development.
- 10 or more years of experience on DoD and/or space programs.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
