The Data Retrieval, Engineering, Architecture, and Management (DREAM) Group is seeking a Digital Engineering Data Solutions Architect to develop next‑generation Relational Cross‑Domain Data Digital Engineering Architecture for domains such as strategic deterrent systems, missile defense systems, hypersonic missiles, space systems, precision‑guided munitions, and autonomous air/sea vehicles. Draper has adopted an integrated, model‑driven digital mindset in solving Systems Engineering problems spanning the entire lifecycle—from early‑lifecycle conceptual system design and architecture, through detailed modeling, model‑driven customer reviews, verification and validation, integration and testing, to deployment, surveillance and performance monitoring.
The ideal candidate will support the development of digital capabilities like digital twins and digital threads, working closely with experienced engineers to learn and apply best practices.
- M.S. degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering, Machine Learning and Data Science.
- Experience with relational ontologies, APIs, and designing schemas for workflows.
- Experience with various types of data, data states, frequency, and volume.
- Experience in managing data from interdisciplinary and various program protection levels.
- Perform analysis approaches for a particular problem and independently execute assignments.
- Execute system engineering lifecycle assignments independently, including concept and architecture design, integration, testing, and operation.
- Contribute high‑quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
- Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with design decisions and communicate them to project leadership.
- Contribute to the updates of best practices and processes to reflect the most up‑to‑date tools and procedures.
- Work in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment including stakeholders and external partners.
- Translate requirements into technical and architectural decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Flexibility to multi‑task and adapt to evolving priorities.
- Knowledge and interest in interdisciplinary work spanning Systems Engineering, Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Trade Space Exploration (TSE), Machine Learning and Data Science.
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience- Requires 3–5 years of experience in systems analysis or related fields.
- Experience using MBSE tools such as SysML, and knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience integrating descriptive modeling tools with other simulation tools.
