Opportunity Overview

BESS Project Management Consultant based in Juno Beach, FL. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W-2). The Engineering & Construction (E&C) Team is looking for a Senior Project Management Consultant to join their team and manage multiple Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects at varying stages, from pre‑construction through construction.

• Coordinate matrixed project development teams to ensure resources are focused on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule.
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection stakeholders to ensure all project variables are identified and incorporated.
• Improve project variables to enhance both technical and financial feasibility.
• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations.
• Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements.
• Support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes to develop designs.
• Support the E&C cost estimating team in developing financial models.
• Present financial models to respective business units and manage them through executive budget approvals.
• Competitively source, negotiate, and implement commercial contracts for critical services, including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
• Deliver regular presentations/briefings on current progress, issues, and risk mitigation to multiple levels of management.
• Ensure the Construction Project Manager can assume projects moving to the construction stage with an inclusive and executable construction plan.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of project management experience in engineering and construction of renewable energy projects.
• Experience managing projects across the United States and Canada.
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead matrixed teams.
• Knowledge of finance/accounting within engineering and construction of renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects.
• PMP certification and advanced Excel skills are preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and support development with local public hearings.

Base salary range: $47.00/hr to $52.00/hr (dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills). Benefits may include:
