Senior Civil Engineer - Site Development

This company is an employee owned, integrated architecture and engineering design firm in the Greater Boston area, where architects and engineers work side by side on the same projects. As an employee owned firm, staff hold a stake in the business rather than drawing a paycheck alone. The organization is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead site design work and serve as a technical resource and mentor within the group.

Full time, onsite in Cambridge, MA.

$120,000 to $150,000 per year, based on experience.

The Senior Civil Engineer leads site design from concept through construction documents on land development and building projects, and designs and directs stormwater management and utility systems. This role prepares site permitting applications and supporting reports at the local, state, and federal levels, and issues documents for construction while staying engaged through construction administration.

This person also mentors project staff and runs internal quality reviews across disciplines, serving as a technical resource for the broader team on complex site design and permitting questions.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 10+ years of experience in site and land development design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD
• Experience with stormwater management and utility system design
• Experience preparing site permitting applications at local, state, and federal levels

• Experience mentoring or leading project staff
• Experience running cross-disciplinary quality reviews
• Background working in an integrated architecture and engineering firm
