Job Description Summary

An SMTS level Systems Analysis Engineer develops and applies advanced Digital Engineering capabilities for the analysis of complex systems in numerous domains including strategic deterrence, missile defense, hypersonics, space, precision‑guided munitions, autonomous air, sea and undersea vehicles, and biotechnology. Our multi‑disciplinary teams innovate and develop solutions for the full system development lifecycle from trade studies, to concept and architecture design, to integration, testing, and operation.

Familiarity with undersea applications, software architectures and frameworks, hardware and software integration and test, and autonomous systems is a plus.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis approaches for a particular problem and independently executes assignments.
  • Independently executes system engineering lifecycle assignments: concept and architecture design, integration, testing and operation.
  • Drives solutions to complex problems with limited direction; contributes to task planning and test development, proposes ways forward, and adapts appropriately to changes in program requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams (fewer than five people). Seeks to align the team toward program goals and builds trust within the team.
  • Provides insight and suggests design modifications based on analysis outcomes, applying analysis techniques across a range of technical challenges.
  • Identifies program/system‑level technical risks and develops and executes mitigation strategies.
  • Mentors less experienced engineers and provides thoughtful, constructive feedback.
  • Works in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment with stakeholders and external partners.
  • Contributes to translation of requirements into technical and architectural decisions.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or other relevant Engineering field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • Requires 5–7 years experience in systems analysis or related.
  • Experience in use of MBSE tools such as SysML, knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience in integrating descriptive modeling tools with other simulation tools.
