Summary

Verigent's client is seeking a Technical Event Producer to lead the planning and execution of live, hybrid, and virtual events. This role combines event production, project management, and AV engineering, with responsibility for ensuring events are delivered smoothly, on time, and to a high technical standard.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day planning and technical production for auditorium events.
  • Support live event execution from the auditorium control booth, ensuring all technical systems operate smoothly.
  • Work with clients, stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to define event requirements, budgets, timelines, and technical solutions.
  • Develop production plans, run-of-shows, technical scopes, and event logistics.
  • Lead rehearsals and onsite event execution, including show calling and crew coordination.
  • Operate and troubleshoot control room technologies, including VizRT/New Tek Tri Caster, video switchers, audio consoles, cameras, streaming, and videoconferencing systems.
  • Understand and troubleshoot AV signal flow and complex integrated AV environments.
  • Support AV, lighting, staging, video, audio, streaming, and conferencing systems.
  • Supervise technicians and event crews during productions.
  • Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting and quickly resolve issues during events.
  • Perform room readiness testing, system testing, and acceptance testing.
  • Manage production equipment, inventories, preventative maintenance, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams and vendors on escalations, repairs, and system improvements.
  • Support executive meetings, town halls, broadcasts, and other high-profile events.
  • Conduct post-event reviews and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and user experience.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of event production and AV experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting live, hybrid, and virtual events, including complex auditorium productions.
  • Hands-on familiarity with VizRT/New Tek Tri Caster is required.
  • Strong understanding of AV signal flow and complex AV environments.
  • Experience working in or supporting an auditorium control booth/control room.
  • Knowledge of professional audio, video, lighting, streaming, and videoconferencing technologies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills, including working with executive-level clients.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure live-event environments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings/weekends, and travel for offsite events.
