Financial Grant Assistant

• Competitive pay: $35 - $45 per hour, based on experience

• As a Financial Grant Assistant, you’ll manage budgets, track fund balances, and support 10–15 researchers in a dynamic academic environment
• Build and maintain financial forecast templates and generate monthly financial reports for both PIs and department leads
• Coordinate the preparation of grant submissions, approve expenses under grant rules, and ensure accuracy of salary charges and payroll hires
• Review monthly DACCA reports, reconcile discrepancies, and notify leadership of necessary changes
• Interface with cross-institutional programs to align grant reporting and financial planning

• 5+ years of financial or grant administration experience, preferably in academic or research settings
• Exposure to both the pre-award and post-award processes
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, forecasting)
• Proficiency in SAP or similar accounting/ERP software

• Familiarity with these systems; SAPGui, SAPWeb, Concur, Cognos, COEUS
• Experience building financial models and tracking cost-sharing
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus
