Sr. Residential Loan Processor

A top Community Bank located in the Somerville MA area has a need for a Sr. Residential Loan Processor due to the volume of business picking up. This role is 100% remote, however, you will need to make into the office as asked or needed quarterly.

• Process residential mortgage and consumer loan applications under the direction of the Retail Lending Manager
• Compile, verify, and organize loan application data and required documentation (VOE, VOD, credit reports, etc.)
• Prepare application correspondence including commitment letters, adverse action notices, and pipeline reporting
• Analyze applicant financials, credit, and property information to assess loan feasibility
• Identify documentation or application deficiencies and communicate issues to Underwriters and management
• Order and review appraisals and title work; follow up to ensure timely receipt and resolve deficiencies
• Submit complete loan files for underwriting approval and ensure compliance with lending guidelines
• Serve as liaison with customers, brokers, attorneys, and internal staff to resolve issues and coordinate closings
• Prepare and maintain files for quality control audits and obtain corrected documentation as needed
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including the S.A.F.E. Act

• Minimum of 3 years of mortgage loan processing experience
• Strong knowledge of loan processing policies, procedures, and underwriting requirements
• Excellent organizational, analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator under the S.A.F.E. Act
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

This is a Perm role, paying $30-$42 per hour
