Rockland Trust is currently seeking a Loan Operations Reporting Specialist II role within its loan operations department. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s loan-related General Ledger accounts. The position supports daily and month‑end activities, prepares journal entries and reconciliations, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to delivering timely, precise financial information.
Key Responsibilities- Complete all daily/monthly reconciliations for general ledger accounts associated with servicing the Bank's loan portfolio, both owned and serviced for others.
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annually as needed.
- Submit reconciliations to Finance in accordance with policy and SLA standards.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger, collaborating with cross‑functional teams as needed.
- Complete the daily/monthly reconciliation on all internal demand deposit accounts associated with servicing the Bank's loan portfolio, both owned and serviced for others.
- Assist the Loan Servicing area with completing ad‑hoc projects or research needs as assigned.
- Ensure that all non‑posted items are reconciled and posted in a timely manner daily.
- Process non‑accrual loan and charge‑off transactions with a strong understanding of the corresponding implications on financial reporting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years experience performing general ledger reconciliations.
- Ability to identify and clearly communicate issues, causes and recommendations on review findings.
- Understanding of banking loan operations, products, services and systems.
- Must have excellent organizational skills; be detail‑oriented, accurate and self‑motivated.
- Proven ability to solve complex issues, think independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Discipline to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaboratively manage competing demands and priorities, with attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills.
- Experience with FIS Horizon and Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint – a plus.
- Show a willingness to accept added duties and responsibilities as required by management.
