Job Overview

LEI is currently seeking a Senior Consultant in the Boston, MA office. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of three days per week required in the office.

Qualified applicants should have demonstrated knowledge of economics, finance, and statistics, and an interest in the energy industry, infrastructure, and project finance work.

Candidates should have strong writing skills and the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise fashion. Foreign language skills are a plus. All candidates must be comfortable working in a casual, non‑hierarchical environment.

Job Responsibilities

Senior Consultants will be involved in projects ranging from producing price forecasts for various electricity markets to constructing and analyzing financial models for asset sales and acquisitions, writing detailed evaluations of different aspects of energy markets in the US and abroad, creating testimony for regulatory and litigation proceedings, and advising private and public sector entities in regulatory economics.

Job Qualifications
  • 3-5 years relevant professional experience related to the energy industry/power sector; strong backgrounds in natural gas, transport, or water also considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high quality quantitative and written analysis.
  • Strong, demonstrable knowledge of statistics and finance.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience with an ISO or similar organization is beneficial.
  • Experience with managing projects and teams.
