Responsibilities
- Collaborates with internal and external customers as the business partner of choice to ensure financial acumen, accuracy, and dedicated support to execute contracts for national defense.
- Provides timely and accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value or related processes.
- Supports all baseline development activities and development of charge numbers and WBS as applicable.
- Provides updates/changes as required for programs in applicable tools (ERP or Cobra).
- Provides analysis and reports on performance variances to budget and assist with recovery plans as needed.
- Analyzes and reports risks & opportunities to the baseline cost, schedule, and the EAC.
- Ensures timely maintenance of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers).
- Provides timely completion of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, processing time-phased estimate to complete updates.
- Develops and monitors the program-level time-phased plan to support an overall program-level view of revenue for forecast, budget, and 5-year planning processes.
- Provides financial data inputs, analysis, and applicable variance narrative for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables.
- Reviews and communicates the status of program financials, including status on funding and disposition of funding that is subject to cancellation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Able to use EVMS principles in daily operations.
- Knowledge of program financial controls with DoD programs.
- Knowledge of relevant federal acquisition regulations and standards such as CAS/FAR/DFARS.
- Knowledge of different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M).
- Knowledge of relevant accounting subject matters, including revenue recognition.
- Ability to present complex information to all levels of management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficient with Microsoft software applications.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to multi-task and is detail oriented.
- Ability to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurate.
- Self-starter that is capable of working independently.
