** Role overview
** Principal on Blackstone Credit & Insurance's Private Credit Strategies Group (PCS), focused on originating private investment capital for publicly traded companies and private equity sponsors in the Life Sciences sector. ** Key responsibilities**- Provide private capital for growth financings, recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions within Life Sciences.

- Structure investments flexibly across the capital structure, including royalty monetization, synthetic royalties, senior debt (secured and unsecured), subordinated debt, preferred and common equity, and private equity.

- Take part in all aspects of the investment process: transaction sourcing, business and scientific due diligence, meetings with management teams, financial and valuation analyses, industry research, legal documentation and drafting investment memos for internal and external use.

- Work on numerous projects at once and closely with senior members of Blackstone.
** Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.

- Minimum 6 years of experience investing in the Life Sciences sector through investment banking, equity research, private credit and/or private equity, including detailed financial modeling (royalty, credit and company operating models) and proprietary pharmaceutical revenue forecasts.

- Minimum 4 years of experience sourcing, underwriting, diligencing, negotiating and closing royalty monetization, synthetic royalty and debt transactions, and originating opportunities through advisor networks and direct-to-corporate relationships.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in fund management, including fundraising, portfolio construction, fund finance, fund documentation and limited partner agreements.
** Compensation
* * Expected annual base salary range: $210,000 - $250,000, plus discretionary bonus and, for certain employees, equity and other incentive compensation.
