Job Description Summary

The Property Specialist (on-site) serves as an integral member of the Supply Chain function. Reporting to the Manager of Government Property, this role focuses on inventory tracking, administration, and maintenance of the property database, ensuring programs remain compliant with federal contracting regulations and internal procedures across the entire asset lifecycle.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Accurately maintain government and company owned property records regarding acquisition, receiving, identification, movement, storage, inventories, consumption, utilization, maintenance, subcontractor control, disposition, and closeout in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and submit accurate property reports to leadership.
  • Create property disposition schedules using government applications, monitor and manage active disposition schedules, and provide clear direction on disposition instructions.
  • Build and manage detailed spreadsheets and key performance metrics using information systems to support timely property disposition.
  • Verify and ensure data provided to customers and stakeholders are complete and accurate via systems, tools, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Lead the annual inventory campaign and assist with property close‑out tasks.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders in property management and tracking.
  • Interface with Program Offices and Procurement to resolve outstanding actions related to incoming property.
  • Prioritize tasks, execute responsibilities with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines in a high‑pressure environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as it pertains to Government Property.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V‑lookup functions.
  • Experience with control and accountability of property in a government or commercial environment.
  • Strong ability to learn computer applications and query tools within multiple software applications.
  • High attention to detail and critical thinking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Current NPMA certification at least at the CPPS level (preferred).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work on‑site with ability to perform required travel as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • 0–3 years of progressive property experience required.
  • Direct experience with control and accountability of government property preferred.
  • Required:

    Secret security clearance; applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
