Are you passionate about empowering families and building brighter futures?

As a Community Based Clinician, you will provide therapeutic services to youth and families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Services are delivered in family homes and community settings using a family centered, strengths based, trauma informed, and goal oriented approach designed to support meaningful and lasting change.

What You'll Do
  • Provide therapeutic services to children, youth, and families using strengths based and goal focused interventions.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with DCF, caregivers, providers, and community partners to support family goals and positive outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development.
The Position
  • This is a per diem, referral based position and the clinician must be available to accept assignments throughout the designated service area, including Cambridge, Medford, Chelsea, and East Boston.
  • Cases are offered as program referrals become available.
    Hours, caseload, and frequency of work will vary based on referral volume and family needs and are not guaranteed.
  • The clinician must have the flexibility and reliable transportation necessary to provide services throughout the program's designated service area.
  • Services are community based and may take place in family homes, schools, community settings, or other approved locations.
  • Scheduling is based on the needs and availability of assigned families and may include afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
What You'll Need
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Massachusetts clinical licensure, such as LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Experience providing therapeutic services to children, youth, and families preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in community based settings while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to cultural humility and providing responsive services to diverse children and families.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the designated service area.
