Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing the full spectrum of HR activities, ensuring smooth operations and excellent support for research faculty and staff.

Compensation:

$30.00/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of appointments, from onboarding to off-boarding, while serving as the primary contact for reappointments, extensions, and terminations.
  • Facilitate visa processing, ensuring timely completion of all necessary documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for performance reviews, salary adjustments, and career development activities.
  • Craft accurate and comprehensive job descriptions to support H‑1B petitions and ensure adherence to institutional sponsorship standards.
  • Act as a liaison for various HR matters, mediating employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Facilitate the recruitment and onboarding process for new staff, coordinating welcome events and orientation to ensure seamless integration into the organization.
  • Maintain and update HR records and databases, ensuring compliance and confidentiality of all personnel files.
  • Process a range of HR transactions including hires, changes, and terminations, managing payroll activities and resolving related issues promptly.
  • Support departmental communication efforts, including managing email lists and participating in relevant committees and projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least two years of professional HR experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR reporting tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management software.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high‑pressure setting.
  • Proven tact and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience working in a higher education or research institution is preferred.
