Principal Analyst, Enterprise Architecture

About This Role:

Principal Analyst in Enterprise Solutions Architecture Practice, part of Technology Architecture & Delivery Research Group, serving CIOs, CTOs and IT Leaders on high‑performance technology strategy.

• Lead the Enterprise Solutions Architecture practice area, collaborating across research teams, technology strategy, executive partner teams, as well as Sales and Product to develop a research portfolio driving customer delight and revenue.
• Develop deep understanding of Forrester client needs for technology executives and leaders.
• Establish industry presence as an influential speaker and thinker, build relationships with journalists, participate in vendor briefings and field press inquiries.
• Conduct primary research into architecture strategy, solutions architecture, key technology platforms, roadmaps, governance, risk management, financial and cost optimization and performance management.
• Conduct deep analysis of IT decision maker challenges and preferences balanced with employee expectations.
• Create high‑quality, actionable, analytically deep research content, including reports, tools, webinars, videos, blogs, podcasts, infographics, etc.
• Drive and lead key Forrester Waves and Landscape reporting for the practice and adjacent areas.
• Consult with clients to apply Forrester's research in context of their business environment, providing guidance and advisory engagements.
• Present at Forrester‑sponsored and industry events and deliver client webinars.
• Co‑lead the global Forrester Enterprise Architecture forum and award program.
• Contribute to the State of Modern Technology Operations survey.
• Support business development and prospect conversations as arranged by account leadership.
• Foster a leadership style that promotes cross‑team collaboration, mentorship, integrity and relentless positive pursuits.
• Potentially grow into VP Principal Analyst role for a driven individual who brings innovation and captures revenue and client engagement.

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a director‑level or above, enterprise architect, principal solutions architect or analyst in an industrial vertical or technology services.
• Experience serving senior management or C‑level clients as an advisor.
• Superior client‑facing communication, listening, critical thinking and collaboration skills.
• Strong technical enterprise architecture expertise across cloud, infrastructure, AI, operating systems, security and other platforms.
• Preferred practice experience in financial services, technology services or key industry vertical; ability to craft high‑level architectures.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI topics and technologies for EA practice.
• Ability to engage technology leaders in Enterprise Architecture, IT Delivery and Operations.
• Solid knowledge of technology executive challenges and broad implications of emerging markets.
• Ability to distill complex ideas and take a stand on outcomes.
• Strong academic record.
• Superior analytical, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Travel willingness of 30% or more.

Base salary range: $141,000 - $229,000

Base salary range for Georgia: $126,000 - $206,000

Base salary range for New York City, NY: $161,000 - $263,000

Bonus target 15% for Washington State employees, as per Forrester Employee Bonus plan.
