Agile Studio is one of the critical live applications, which operates in a fast-paced development and delivery environment. This application is used by all Pega employees to manage their Project work at various levels. Agile studio tooling team comprise of self-organized scrum teams driven by passion, discipline and motivation. These teams are skilled on Pega PRPC and are highly flexible in understanding business needs of different customer use cases and quickly scale up to provide technical solutions.

The operational Engineer is responsible for handling all PROD support activities, consuming the daily pipeline upgrades, should be coordinating with various teams and levels to make sure the PROD application is up and running all the time, address and delegate all performance-related issues and give better development experience in the lower environments.

Understand and adopt the platform features and providing candid feedback to release best features to our customers.

What You’ll Do at Pega:
  • Collaborate with engineering and client teams to deploy and operate the systems.
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Automate and streamline operations and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in test and production environments.
  • Monitor and optimize the usage of various cloud services.
  • Setup and enforce build automation, configuration management, CI/CD processes and practices.
Who You Are:

Must demonstrate the key Pega competencies of Thought Leadership and Drive for Results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including poise in pressure situations while being a team player.

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or equivalent role with production / Application administration support.
  • B. Tech/B.E in Computer Science Engineering/relevant field
  • Hands-on programming and very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in providing technical support and managing production systems/tools that are hosted on AWS
  • Good to have experience on AWS – EC2, S3, IAM, ECS, EKS, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, RDS, Cloud Formation, Lambda, VPC, Route
    53
  • Follow the platform release guidelines and take care applications upgrade process effectively.
  • Good to have experience on Software Products and application implementations by using the Products.
  • Good to have Pega skills/Pega Administration
  • Knowledge of IT architecture/infrastructure, Agile methodologies
  • Adherence to the organizational guidelines and processes.
What You’ve Accomplished:
  • Technical Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Good background in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Experience with any of the cloud monitoring tools like Data Dog, Nagios, New Relic, Grafana , Splunk, APM etc.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (Jenkins).
  • Hands on Experience with of the script (Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, or any other ) languages.
  • Managing Product operations, setting up best practices and tunning for best performance.
  • Working understanding of SQL and databases.
  • Good knowledge with AWS services.
