Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Engineer to support the Combination Product Operations Digital and Data Strategy team. This is one of a network of digital teams focused on implementing state of the art digital capabilities transforming the business by improving efficiency and speed, while reducing the cost of developing, manufacturing, and distributing combination products to our stakeholders and patients.

This role bridges data analytics and digital transformation, enabling both operational insights and the advancement of enterprise digital capabilities.

The ideal candidate will contribute to data processing, visualization, and reporting efforts while also supporting Digital Product initiatives, digital thread enablement, and FAIR data practices. This individual will work across multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders to improve workflows, enhance data usability, and drive adoption of digital tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Processing & Analytics
    • Retrieve, clean, and preprocess data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files).
    • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
    • Develop dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Spotfire, Power BI, or custom apps.
    • Generate reports and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Support data integrity, quality, and accessibility across workflows.
  • Digital Transformation & Digital Products Support
    • Support digital platform initiatives, including feature development, testing, and deployment.
    • Assist in documenting data models, workflows, and system architectures.
    • Contribute to the enablement of a digital thread across product development processes
    • Advocate for and apply FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles
    • Act as a data steward to ensure consistency and usability of data across systems
    • Support onboarding, training, and adoption of digital tools across business groups
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with multiple stakeholder groups to understand business needs and translate them into data and digital solutions
    • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors
    • Support digitalization of experimental and operational workflows
    • Work in a highly collaborative environment across technical and business teams
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, digital systems, or related technical roles
Required Skills:
  • Experience with data processing and analysis using Python, R, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with SQL and data querying
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Spotfire)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with PLM systems or other enterprise digital tools
  • Understanding of data modeling and data architecture concepts
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies or product team environments
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or system adoption initiatives
  • Familiarity with combination products, medical devices, or regulated environments
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - ability to distill, craft and present key messages relative to diverse audience requirements

Pay range is $35 - $40 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
