Senior Analyst, Data & AI

Role Overview

Forrester Research is seeking a Senior Analyst to be a critical member of the research team writing for our data, AI, and analytics body of work. This role focuses on AI governance and responsible AI practices, helping data and AI leaders achieve high performance and guiding vendors on market futures.

• Conduct primary research on AI governance, responsible AI practices, data and IT governance, global and industry regulations, and policy frameworks such as NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
• Analyze AI governance practices of vendors and SaaS providers to advise companies on ethical and security standards.
• Develop operating models to support cross‑functional collaboration for AI governance.
• Create 8 to 12 high‑quality research projects per year, including reports, tools, webinars, blogs, podcasts, infographics and other intellectual property.
• Drive and lead key Forrester Wave and Landscape reports.
• Consult with clients, apply research to their business environments, and provide advisory engagements.
• Present at industry events, deliver client webinars, and establish an influential speaking presence.
• Support business development and prospect conversations as coordinated by account leadership.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, mentorship, integrity, and positive pursuit of outcomes.

• BA/BS degree.
• Five or more years’ experience in AI governance, data governance, IT audit, or AI/ML development, data engineering, data architecture, or data science roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following markets: AI governance solutions, AI platforms, data platforms, data governance solutions, analytics and AI/ML solutions.
• Knowledge of key vendors, features, capabilities and use cases.
• Experience advising senior leaders and C‑level clients.
• Superior client‑facing communication, listening, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
• Strong understanding of challenges faced by data and AI executives and market implications.
• Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, provocative concepts and take a stand on outcomes.
• Travel up to 30% of the time.

Base salary range: $119,000 – $193,000 (U.S. general), $106,000 – $174,000 in Georgia, $136,000 – $222,000 in New York City. Bonus target: 10% of base salary. Detailed benefits information available at
