Cloud Operations Specialist (Cambridge, MA)
Job SummaryJoin our team as a Cloud Operations Specialist, where you'll manage, maintain, and optimize AWS environments for regulated SaaS products, ensuring high availability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency. This role blends hands‑on engineering with operational excellence to support our growing cloud Managed Services.
Responsibilities- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda) and maintain test, staging, and production environments to meet uptime, performance, and cost goals.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation, and drive automation to reduce operational risks and improve efficiency.
- Build and maintain monitoring platforms, dashboards, and alerts for applications, AWS infrastructure, and business transactions, while owning incident response and root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops, development, support, security teams, and vendor/outsourced partners to troubleshoot production events and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR).
- Enforce configuration management, version control, disaster recovery strategies, patching and best practices for identity management, authentication, and access control.
- Build and maintain automated operational workflows for AWS-hosted applications using scripting, IaC, and AWS services.
- 5+ years in AWS cloud operations, and at least 3 years supporting 24x7 SaaS or cloud production environments.
- Proficient in AWS services, cloud networking, Windows Server, DNS/Active Directory, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), scripting (Python, Bash, Power Shell), and monitoring/alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana). Bonus: experience with Veeam, Fin Ops, Service Now or regulated healthcare environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- Strong communicator with excellent problem‑solving skills, thrives in a collaborative environment, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect or Sys Ops, Kubernetes, Microsoft Windows Server, or ITIL Foundation.

Location and Work ArrangementThis is an office role. You must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge, MA. Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.

CompensationThe pay range for this position in MA is $110,880 to $177,408. Actual base pay offered may vary within the posted range depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
