About the jobAs an Emerging Capability & Strategic Transition Analyst on the R&D team, you will help shape the Bionic Regulatory Affairs Professional of the Future by identifying and advancing emerging capabilities aligned with the core transformation pillars of Translate, Answer, Generate, and Consult. Your work will bridge idea validation with strategic transition, supporting innovation from early discovery through to integration into business-as-usual teams or platforms.
MainResponsibilities
- Scout, frame, and early‑validate new capabilities under the Translate, Answer, Generate, and Consult themes.
- Analyze feasibility, value, and scalability of MVPs and pilots in collaboration with Capability Leads, Digital Product Owners, and SMEs.
- Apply Strategyzer and Lean Startup principles to advance initiatives through the innovation funnel (Explore → Validate → Scale).
- Coordinate readiness, documentation, and stakeholder alignment for capability transitions into core teams or partners.
- Track maturity level, user adoption, and resource fit to assess timing and pathway for handovers.
- Define transition plans that balance speed, sustainability, and strategic fit within the operating model.
- Act as a connector between Engagement & Innovation, Capability Owners, and Digital/IT teams to ensure seamless handoffs and continued value realization.
- Capture lessons learned and value stories from emerging and transitioning capabilities.
- Contribute to dashboards, funnel tracking, and communication materials that provide clarity and transparency to the innovation portfolio.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years in Regulatory Affairs, Digital Innovation, and/or R&D Transformation, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate organizational complexity.
- Experience turning ideas into value drivers and developing business cases.
- Experience presenting to VPs and above with storytelling to drive business decisions.
- Exposure to product development, digital solution validation, or AI/automation in a regulated setting.
- Experience supporting pilots, MVPs, or business‑led digital initiatives across functions.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, or digital product validation in regulated environments is a strong plus.
- Innovation literacy: familiar with design thinking, lean experimentation, and strategic innovation methods.
- Strategic thinking: connect early concepts to long‑term organizational goals and operational realities.
- Adaptability: ease with ambiguity and a non‑linear portfolio of work.
- Project & transition support: document, track, and facilitate structured handovers of initiatives.
- Financial acumen: understand and create business cases (NPV/ROI) to inform decision making.
- Collaboration:
strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across global teams and cultures. - Communication: create compelling visuals, summaries, or updates that make innovation accessible to non‑technical audiences.
