About This Role: Associate Director, Data Science and AI - Marketing Mix and Resource Optimization, holds a crucial position within our Data Science team, spearheading the creation of cutting-edge modeling solutions that facilitate strategic business decisions across Marketing, Medical, Sales, and Access. In this role, you will lead impactful data science projects focusing on marketing mix optimization, machine learning-based personalization, and strategies to enhance field force effectiveness.
As a key contributor, you will drive initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that data outputs are not only actionable and accurate but also scalable and aligned with brand priorities.
Your role as a thought partner to commercial leadership will involve advocating for the use of data and AI to deliver substantial business value. You will fit into our business structure as an integral part of the team, contributing to the growth and innovation of our data-driven strategies.
What You'll Do:
- Lead development and deployment of Marketing Mix Models (MMM) to measure channel-level promotional impact
- Quantify ROI across field force, digital, media, speaker programs, and patient initiatives
- Build resource allocation optimization frameworks to improve commercial investment efficiency
- Support annual brand planning and in-year budget reallocation through scenario modeling
- Execute the long-term data science and AI vision, ensuring alignment with enterprise capability roadmaps and commercial priorities.
- Act as a trusted partner to insights and marketing teams, demonstrating rigor and knowledge in data science algorithms.
- Serve as the primary data science partner for U.S. commercial brand teams, translating business objectives into analytical frameworks.
- Guide business stakeholders through insight interpretation and activation, ensuring outputs are integrated into workflows.
- Provide technical expertise and thought leadership on the development of analytical tools and proprietary data products.
- Promote analytical rigor, responsible experimentation, and model governance best practices.
- Collaborate with a high-performing team of data scientists, encouraging learning and experimentation.
- Manage relationships with external analytics partners, ensuring alignment with internal teams for solution delivery.
You are a data scientist with strong methodological expertise and business acumen, possessing a leadership presence and a passion for tackling ambiguous challenges. You excel at the intersection of data science and actionable insights, building scalable machine learning pipelines that inform strategic decisions. As a functional expert, you also enjoy guiding and mentoring team members, fostering collaborative problem-solving environments. Your understanding of responsible AI principles and standards complements your technical proficiency, making you an ideal candidate for this role.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on analytics or data science experience, including at least 4 years leading data science product builds, teams, or programs.
- Must have experience within Pharma/Biotech working with Marketing Mix and Portfolio Optimization
- Strong command of statistical modeling supervised and unsupervised learning, A/B testing, and time-series forecasting.
- Experience deploying data science solutions in a commercial setting, ideally within pharma, biotech, or healthcare.
- Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and Snowflake; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing, marketing optimization models, and omnichannel analytics.
- Strong communication and influencing skills; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Skills:
- Master's degree in data science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.

The base compensation range for this role is: $-$
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
