The Onyx Research Data Tech organization is part of GSK R&D and Digital & Tech, focused on building a next‑generation data experience and delivering AI/ML and data analysis environments to accelerate predictive capabilities. The Product Management team develops strategic roadmaps for customer‑facing data assets and platforms.

• Own and lead the product roadmap, development, launch, and adoption of novel molecule design solutions.
• Define strategic direction for molecule design tools with GenAI capabilities at the core.
• Partner with the Onyx tech team, R&D scientists and leaders to deliver cloud‑based products with GenAI and agentic capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements, features, and specifications.
• Work with portfolio and engineering teams in an agile environment to deliver product releases.
• Spearhead the development of AI agents powered by LLMs for scientific research tasks.
• Design human‑agent interaction layers, conversational interfaces, and APIs that allow agents to be leveraged as tools.
• Own the product lifecycle for models and agents, including data acquisition and model fine‑tuning.
• Structure products for easy challenge, verification, and feedback loops (human‑guided iteration).
• Lead technical product discussions with engineering leaders on foundation models, vector databases, and multi‑agent architectures.
• Collaborate with tech and R&D teams, including Dev Ops, infrastructure, data engineering, and program management, to align strategies and implementation plans.
• Lead product launches, ensuring effective communication, training, and support materials.
• Monitor product performance and drive iterative improvements.

• PhD + 2 years, Masters + 4 years, or Bachelors + 6 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, computational Biology, cheminformatics, AI/ML, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years of product management experience with shipping 0‑to‑1 AI/GenAI products.
• Experience defining product strategy for modern AI system technologies such as vector databases, MLOps, retrieval‑augmented generation, and model fine‑tuning.
• Experience with cloud‑native architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), API design, and infrastructure for LLM‑based applications.

• Experience designing and launching AI agents that utilize tools (APIs, function calling) for complex actions.
• Hands‑on software engineering or data science experience in a GenAI‑focused team.
• Familiarity with modern transformer‑based model architecture and trade‑offs between proprietary and open‑source models.
• Experience building products that manage or interpret complex, unstructured biomedical data.
• Extensive knowledge of bioinformatics, computational biology, or cheminformatics with a vision for agentic AI in drug discovery.
• Experience designing, optimizing, and implementing Model Context Protocols (MCP) for LLM‑powered agents.
• Hands‑on experience with product management tools such as Confluence, Jira, Miro, Monday, Notion.
• Prior life science or biopharma R&D experience is a plus.

• Annual base salary range for US locations: $147,675 to $246,125, depending on location and experience.
