Solutions Architect II - Government Services
Responsibilities:
- Partnering with customers to understand their technical and business needs, to ensure customer success
- Working closely with Akamai and customer teams to design the best solutions and implementation plans
- Collaborating with Professional Service team members to implement and execute best practice solutions for our customers
- Being an integral part of testing and live deployment of our solutions to ensure a smooth and timely integration for customers
- Owning technical aspects of solution delivery and ongoing support to configure, debug, document, test, go live, identify and mitigate risks
- Participating on internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving the quality of Akamai's integrations
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship due to legal requirements of our customer base
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
- 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or its equivalent
- Comfortable working within a Linux command line environment within an Information Technology industry
- Understanding customers’ technical challenges and designing, architecting, configuring and testing solutions with remarkable attention to detail and time management
- Demonstrated understanding of working with network technologies, web development languages, methodologies and architectures
- Desire to solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For U.S. based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $100,700 - $181,300/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the U.S. will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
