Who is Blue Rock?

Blue Rock Therapeutics LP is a clinical‑stage cell therapy company creating a pipeline of new medicines for people suffering from neurological and ophthalmic diseases. Two of our novel investigational cell therapies—bemdaneprocel (BRT-DA01) for Parkinson’s disease and OpCT-001 for primary photoreceptor diseases—are in clinical stage programs. Blue Rock was founded in 2016 as a joint venture of Versant Ventures and Leaps by Bayer.

Our foundational science harnesses the ability to create and direct the differentiation of universal pluripotent stem cells into authentic, functional cells for allogeneic cellular therapies. We further engineer these cells to produce enzymes, antibodies, and other proteins for additional therapeutic benefit. • Participate in developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy, including data architecture, management standards, data warehouses, and analytics systems.
• Create data architecture that ensures secure, reliable, scalable, and sustainable IT solutions, and develop a cohesive technical vision aligned with IT standards.
• Collaborate closely with IT Infrastructure, Bioinformatics, and Blue Rock functional groups to align business needs with solutions, documenting requirements for all stakeholders.
• Architect, create, manage, and optimize data pipelines; design compute workflows and storage solutions; and develop integrated data solutions to drive analytics success.
• Design and implement comprehensive solutions for transferring, storing, delivering, and optimizing R&D, Tech Ops, and MFG data using public cloud technology (AWS), and maintain data pipelines, ETL workflows, and cloud environments.
• Work with IT teams and vendors to design, implement, and improve scalable data integration capabilities that deliver optimal value.
• Own data integration across the application stack to keep data fresh and FAIR.
• Create reference diagrams, charts, and documentation for the architecture.
• Ensure quality, availability, and integrity of code, solutions, and systems, integrating proactive strategies and best practices regarding data integrity, security, and scalability.
• Actively identify new technologies and practices through internal and external networks.
• Telecommuting permitted.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of engineering experience.
• Strong data and analytics skills with expertise in AWS and Azure cloud technology.
• Experience in the biotech industry.

Salary Range: $184,995 to $215,000
