Akamai's Cloud Compute Product Management organization oversees the compute instances, hypervisors, and server profiles that power our global distributed cloud. Partner with the bestAs a Senior Product Manager for Core Compute, define and guide product strategy for Akamai's compute offerings. Connect technical hardware layers with developer experiences, ensuring compute instances provide exceptional value compared to traditional cloud providers. Oversee the compute lifecycle, including hardware assessments and features within the cloud platform's virtualization layer.
Responsibilities- Gathering, documenting, and communicating business and technical requirements.
- Defining and executing the product strategy, roadmap and delivering against the product plan.
- Fostering connections with cross-functional teams, such as sales and marketing, to promote products and gather feedback for ongoing success.
- Analyzing operational metrics and trends to manage and maximize product KPIs, revenue and profitability, building business cases and margin analysis.
- Becoming the trusted expert in alternative cloud infrastructure trends, bare-metal innovations, and the comparative market landscape.
- Synthesizing feedback and prioritizing development.
- Have 12 years of experience with product management or product development within cloud, virtualization, server infrastructure, or its equivalent.
- Demonstrate technical expertise in virtualization concepts, multi-tenant cloud architectures, hypervisors, and CPU/IO hardware architectures.
- Demonstrate an ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence hardware engineering, and software development stakeholders.
- Have familiarity with infrastructure-as-code ecosystems, cloud capacity lifecycle management, and Linux systems architecture.
- Demonstrate an outstanding ability to understand, define, and communicate the business and technical value of deeply technical cloud primitives.
- Possess deep relationship-building skills and experience collaborating with customers and technology partners.
Compensation:
For US-based candidates, the base salary ranges from $139,300 to $250,700 per year. Compensation may also include bonus, equity awards, and a stock purchase plan.
