End User Support Intern
The Business Infrastructure (BI) Organization within Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking a full-time End User Support intern to help support functional and engineering staff at BBN's Cambridge location. Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to laptop installation, configuration, maintenance, and documentation. The person in this position will need to maintain other IT assets, prepare equipment for reuse or disposal, and support other IT systems as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience with desktop support and will be able to work independently with moderate to limited oversight. They will be configuring laptops and desktops with Windows 11, macOS, and Linux to meet BBN standards. The End User Services team is a fast-paced and nimble group. You should be able to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly and effectively.
Flexibility and attention to detail are essential to this team's success.
What You Will Do:
- May perform installations, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other maintenance tasks
- May perform telephone installations and removals
- Set up Audio/Visual equipment for conference rooms
What You Will Learn:
- Troubleshoot a variety of software and hardware problems
- Solve moderately complex problems
- Regularly maintain hardware and software asset inventory database
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline (Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 0-1 years work experience;
- Experience with Mac and PC hardware: laptops, desktops.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with administration of Windows 10 and Windows Server and Active Directory
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and Outlook
- Familiarity with MacOS and familiarity with Linux
- Basic understanding of network principles (TCP/IP) and LAN/WAN
Work Location
This is an on-site role, eligible candidates must reside or relocate within commuting distance of Cambridge, MA.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.
-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
