Overview
The Business Infrastructure group at RTX BBN Technologies in Cambridge, MA is seeking a full‑time Information Technologies Undergraduate Intern for Fall 2026 to support IT staff in administration of equipment, including networking, server installs, scripting, automation, and VM management.
Responsibilities- Write scripts to streamline daily IT tasks.
- Maintain data‑center assets, verifying server and equipment health and managing organization of retired servers.
- Support servers and desktops running Linux, Windows, or macOS operating systems.
- Organize and maintain an IT document repository.
- Perform research and evaluation of IT products.
- Diagnose and resolve everyday user IT issues.
- Stage and deploy IT equipment.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op.
- Familiarity with Windows
11 administration. - Experience repairing PC hardware (laptops, desktops, servers).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Familiarity with additional OSes such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Windows Server.
- Experience with scripting.
- Experience with basic IT infrastructure services, security, and protocols.
On‑site role in Cambridge, MA. Candidates must reside or relocate within commuting distance of Cambridge.
Salary and BenefitsSalary range: $37,000 – $82,000 USD.
