Associate Director, Insights and Analytics
The Associate Director, Medical Insights and Analytics is an accomplished individual contributor within the Global Medical Excellence team. This role is accountable for executing and scaling Medical Affairs business analytics in alignment with the Medical Excellence roadmap and governance model. Operating within established Medical Excellence frameworks, this role leads high-quality analytics execution and partners across Field Excellence, Medical Operations, regional Medical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to enable effective Medical strategy and execution across regions and therapeutic areas.
The Associate Director independently designs and delivers complex analyses to ensure analytical rigor, methodological consistency, and decision-relevant insights aligned with Medical Affairs priorities.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in data science, biostatistics, business analytics, life sciences, public health, or a related field required; advanced degree strongly preferred. Minimum 6–8 years of experience in analytics or medically focused data science roles within the life sciences industry or academia; consulting experience in life sciences, healthcare, or strategy-focused analytics preferred. Prior experience supporting Medical Affairs or related healthcare functions through analytics, with understanding of Medical Affairs objectives, engagement models, and compliance considerations.
Demonstrated expertise in analytics methodologies, real-world data, medical insights analysis, and impact measurement. Strong hands-on analytical capability, including independent execution of complex analyses and experience working directly with large healthcare datasets (e.g., claims, CRM, digital engagement data). Proficiency in data and analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Power BI), with demonstrated experience independently applying predictive modeling, descriptive and inferential statistics, time series analysis, and advanced data mining techniques.
Experience reviewing and validating vendor-generated analytical outputs for methodological rigor and accuracy. Advanced ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical compliance considerations and data governance standards. Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment and influence without formal authority.
