We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Windows Systems Administrator to join our client's support team hybrid in Cambridge, MA. This is a 1-year contract with possible annual extensions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in an enterprise environment and will provide support to client employees, both remote and local, to ensure the seamless operation of technology systems and equipment.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Responsible for all functions related to server OS and hardware
- Provide remote first/second-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, escalating problems as needed
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in IT support
- Minimum 5 to 7+ years of experience supporting Windows servers
- Must have hardware, software, RAID config, and patching experience
- Proven experience in IT support or a related role in an enterprise environment
- Proficient in configuring and maintaining Windows operating systems, with additional knowledge of Linux/WSL
- MacOS knowledge as a plus
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and hardware
- Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with IT security practices and protocols
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The hourly rate for this position is between $37.50 – $50.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
