Director, Global Medical Affairs Technology
Alnylam is the world's leading RNA interference (RNAi) company, dedicated to transforming the lives of patients through innovative medicines. The Director, Global Medical Affairs Technology is accountable for the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and governance of the platforms, data products, and integrations that enable Global Medical Affairs. This role serves as the primary technology leader and business partner for Medical Affairs across field medical, medical insights, omnichannel scientific engagement, medical information, scientific communications, KOL/HCP engagement, and real-world evidence enablement.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, Business, or a related technical or business discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in life sciences technology, Medical Affairs technology, commercial/medical platform leadership, digital product management, or related roles in regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience owning enterprise product or platform roadmaps and lifecycle management for shared capabilities rather than one-off projects or localized solutions.
- Strong understanding of Medical Affairs processes and capabilities, including field medical, medical insights, medical information, scientific communications, omnichannel engagement, KOL/HCP engagement, and/or real-world evidence.
- Experience with data platforms, integrations, analytics enablement, and data governance, with the ability to partner effectively with Data & AI and enterprise technology teams.
- Proven ability to define priorities, standards, KPIs, and governance mechanisms that drive measurable business outcomes, simplification, and reuse.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence across Medical Affairs, Technology, Data & AI, Legal/Compliance, Privacy, Quality, and external partners in a matrixed global organization.
- Experience engaging vendors, managed service providers, and contractors as needed to coordinate delivery across internal and external teams, without direct people management accountability.
- Experience operating in biotech, pharma, healthcare, or another regulated industry with strong understanding of compliance, privacy, security, documentation, and auditability requirements.
