Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location:
Cambridge, MA (onsite T-W-Th)
Type: W2 Contract
Hours:
Full-time hours
Duration: 3-6 months (Temp-To-Permanent Hire around 3-6 months)
Compensation Range: $80 - 100 per hour Cella is seeking an experienced Web Experience Strategy Lead to shape and improve UX and digital experiences across a portfolio of HCP and patient websites for our client, a multinational biotechnology company.
This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who can move fluently from evidence to recommendation to execution. The person will diagnose where journeys break, explain why the user experience may be creating friction, define what should change, and partner with brand, analytics, design, technology, production, and agency teams to bring the change to life.
Success requires strong UX judgment, analytical thinking, business fluency, and the ability to influence decisions in a regulated, cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities:
Create evidence-led web experience (UX) strategies
Assess HCP and patient websites using behavioral analytics, journey data, qualitative insight, accessibility standards, competitive patterns, and UX best practices.
Identify pathway, content, navigation, comprehension, and action gaps, then prioritize the opportunities with the greatest user and business value.
Translate brand objectives and stakeholder requests into clearly defined user problems, experience hypotheses, success measures, and actionable roadmaps.
Define the few high-value actions that indicate meaningful journey progress and use them as the measurement anchor for optimization.
Build testing and continuous optimization into the operating model
Convert behavioral evidence and UX insight into testable experience hypotheses rather than relying on preference or isolated best practices.
Partner with Decision Sciences and analytics teams to establish baselines, interpret behavior, identify journey gaps, and evaluate outcomes.
Develop experience and content test plans for Adobe Target, including audience, hypothesis, variants, measures, guardrails, and scale/refine/stop recommendations.
Influence brands, agencies, and delivery teams
Lead UX working sessions and present concise, evidence-backed recommendations to brand leaders and senior stakeholders.
Challenge unclear requests constructively, ask for the evidence behind decisions, and create practical options when the data is incomplete.
Translate strategy into clear UX requirements, annotated journeys, wireframes or prototypes, prioritized backlogs, and implementation guidance.
Advance scalable and inclusive experience standards
Help shape the enterprise design system and reusable component library across Figma and AEM, with accessibility designed in from the start.
Ensure experiences address the needs of people navigating complex, sensitive health information, including rare disease and MS audiences.
Embed UX, accessibility, analytics, privacy, and PRC requirements early in the website development process.
Partner with technical teams on responsive behavior, component usage, tagging, site performance, and implementation quality without serving as the primary developer.
Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience. Web experience strategy, UX strategy, digital product strategy, service design, or conversion optimization in complex organizations.
A strong portfolio of outcomes. Examples must show the problem, evidence used, your individual role, decisions influenced, solution delivered, and measurable result.
Evidence-to-action capability. Demonstrated ability to combine analytics and research, diagnose journey friction, prioritize opportunities, and convert findings into executable recommendations.
Experimentation experience. Hands-on experience developing hypotheses, test designs, success measures, and post-test decisions. Adobe Target experience is strongly preferred.
Enterprise influence. A record of gaining alignment across business, design, analytics, technology, compliance, and external agency partners without relying on direct authority.
Strong executive communication. Able to answer directly, distinguish personal contribution from team output, and explain complex experience decisions in business language.
Regulated-industry fluency. Pharma or healthcare experience with HCP and patient audiences is strongly preferred. Comparable experience in another highly regulated environment may be considered.
Platform literacy. Working knowledge of Figma, AEM, Adobe Analytics or comparable behavioral analytics, hotjar, experimentation platforms, and accessibility standards.
Helpful, but not the center of the role.
SEO/GEO, Core Web Vitals, content strategy, technical QA, and hands-on visual design are valuable supporting capabilities. They do not substitute for senior-level UX strategy, analytical problem solving, experimentation, and stakeholder influence.
