Director, Systems – Core Connectivity, Broadband

• Direct engineering, development, and integration of systems and core connectivity solutions across Verizon’s Fiber and FWA broadband networks
• Own and scale the Broadband Proactive Care telemetry program
• Provide strategic oversight to Fiber & Copper Planning and VHI Strategic Initiatives
• Optimize capital investment and fiber capacity deployments
• Lead engineering and planning teams across a matrixed environment
• Build scalable, automated systems that proactively resolve network issues before impacting customers
• Drive operational agility and accelerate product feature delivery

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
• Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training
• Experience in telecommunications engineering, network operations, or managing complex systems integration programs
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or an MBA (even better)
• Experience building or scaling automated customer experience platforms, predictive analytics, or network telemetry systems (even better)
• Experience optimizing capital investments, planning fiber/copper capacity, or developing Fios/FWA technology roadmaps (even better)
• Ability to direct, motivate, and scale large, multidisciplinary engineering and planning teams (even better)
• In-depth knowledge of broadband industry standards, core network architectures, and cross-platform systems integration (even better)
• Familiarity with agile software development and systems engineering methodologies (even better)

Demonstrates expertise in telecommunications engineering and network operations, with a strong focus on building scalable automated systems and optimizing capital investments in broadband networks. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive strategic initiatives in a matrixed environment.
