Our pharma client is seeking a Scientific Business Analyst to bridge laboratory workflows with data-driven system solutions in Cambridge. The role involves mapping complex data flows, supporting cloud-based infrastructure, and driving LIMS development initiatives.
Description – Scientific Business Analyst (Data Focus and Technical)Translate complex laboratory workflows into comprehensive documented requirements, problem statements, and user stories. Map data flows between systems while identifying key data elements, data mapping, and data dictionary documentation. Apply requirements traceability matrices to ensure alignment between captured requirements and test cases. Investigate data using SQL, Python, AI, and related tools within research environments. Support AWS cloud operations, software hosting (EC2, S3, Lambda), containerization (Docker), and microservices architectures.
Direct development efforts for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), with Sapio experience heavily preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, Python, and AI tools for data investigation.
- Familiarity with data lake principles and common database types used in research settings.
- Understanding of AWS cloud hosting, containerization, and microservices.
- Direct background in LIMS development and laboratory workflow analysis.
- Preferrable experience with Sapio.
- Pay rate ranging from $85 to $95 per hour
