Data Scientist
Lead and manage the Machine Learning Sciences team within Bristol Myers Squibb's Computational Sciences department, focusing on applying AI/ML to optimize small molecule drug discovery, including ADMET and PK prediction and multiparameter design.
Responsibilities:set scientific strategy, oversee team development, collaborate cross-functionally with medicinal chemistry, DMPK, biology, and data science teams to incorporate predictive models into workflows, drive model validation and innovation by evaluating new methodologies, and represent the team to senior leadership.
Requirements:advanced degree (BSc + 12+ yrs, MSc + 10+ yrs, or PhD + 8+ yrs) in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Computer Science, or related; proven expertise in applying ML to drug discovery problems; leadership experience in scientific projects or teams; strong cross-disciplinary communication skills.
Preferred:prior management experience, familiarity with multiparameter optimization, external collaboration experience, and experience in pharma/biotech R&D environment.
High-Value:small molecule chemo informatics, ADMET/PK prediction, multiparameter design, AI/ML methodology development, and cross-functional collaboration in drug discovery.
