Manager, Global Logistics

The Manager, Logistics Design & Cold Chain will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global logistics design standards to help ensure product integrity across Alnylam's end-to-end supply chain network. This role will contribute to packaging strategy, transportation lane design, temperature-controlled shipping requirements, and logistics risk mitigation in partnership with Global Logistics Operations, Quality, Validation, Clinical and Commercial Supply Chain, CMOs, 3PLs, and logistics service providers.

This position will serve as a key operational and technical partner responsible for translating logistics design requirements into practical, scalable processes that support consistent, compliant, and reliable product movement. The role will focus on execution of defined logistics design initiatives, lane assessments, packaging and transportation standards, and continuous improvement opportunities across cold chain and broader temperature-sensitive logistics operations. This position is hybrid and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, cold chain, supply chain operations, packaging, transportation, or regulated distribution environments
  • Experience supporting temperature-controlled logistics, packaging qualification, lane assessments, or product integrity programs
  • Strong knowledge of GDP/GMP transportation requirements and regulated supply chain operations
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Quality, Validation, Operations, and external partners
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
  • Ability to travel up to 20-25%, globally
