About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Manager to lead and support medical device initiatives within the Urology division. This role will drive cross-functional execution across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery from concept through commercialization.
As a Manager I, Project Manager for Urology BSC Products, you will leverage a variety of innovative and established technologies to deliver life-changing therapies and systems to patients and clinicians, aligning with BSC's mission. In this role, you will oversee multiple high-visibility product development and sustaining initiatives concurrently, while fostering collaboration across geographically distributed teams
Work Mode
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a Hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Marlborough, MA OR Arden Hills, MN office at least 3 days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.
Your Responsibilities Include
Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure).
Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with business objectives.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and critical paths; implement mitigation strategies.
Communicate project status, priorities, and risks to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Build team ownership and commitment to project goals; coach and mentor team members.
Resolve conflicts and provide performance input to functional managers.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
Develop an understanding of critical business processes, systems, and lead changes in efficiency and quality.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
Management Requirements
May lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals
Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives
May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more projects/programs.
Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
7+ years participating and leading in product development teams, including:
Expertise in managing multiple significant, cross functional projects and/or initiatives simultaneously
Involvement with business critical and high visibility sustaining and/or new product development projects
Experience leading small and medium cross-functional teams as a Project Manager, Operations Leader or Technical Leader
Proven track record managing multiple complex, high-impact projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, organizational, and influencing skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel) and project management software (MS Project, MS Office Timeline, Visio).
Ability to lead virtual teams and work across all levels and functions of the organization.
Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to confidently handle full responsibility for project completion including issue resolution.
Results-oriented and focused on delivering timely, accurate and premium execution.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
Degree in Engineering, or related technical field.
Knowledge of Urology therapy systems
Experience with medical device industry standards
Project Management Processional Certification (PMP)
Experience managing new product development and sustaining projects including business critical and high visibility projects.
