We are currently seeking a 1st shift Electrician to join our team ( 3 AM or 6 AM start time)
Summary:
Maintains and operates electrical distribution system. Provide support for processing and packaging electrical and electronic systems.
Qualifications:
* Current Electrician's license.
* Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
* Basic knowledge of electronic control systems including PLCs.
* Basic computer skills including use of MS Word and Outlook.
* Five years+ of experience in a food production environment preferred
* Ability to handle/lift up 35lbs.
Duties
* Diagnose and repair problems with the electrical distribution systems.
* Diagnose and repair problems with electrical and electronic components of processing and packaging equipment.
* Ensure plant compliance with applicable codes including NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA.
* Provide power and control wiring for selected projects.
* Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment in order to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Provide support to management as an expert in code compliance.
* Research and recommend spare parts for stock and for selected projects
* Assist QA department in calibration of key equipment on processing and packaging lines
* Follow all safety and quality guidelines and procedures
Additional Information
* Rate: $51.35 /hour

1st shift (hours will vary based on the needs of the business)
* Work Week:
Monday-Friday (Saturday work as needed)
