Senior Planner, Materials Management

We are seeking a Senior Planner, Materials Management to support material availability across internal and external manufacturing operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Development, Regulatory, Clinical, and Commercial teams to translate demand into material plans, optimize inventory performance, and support reliable product supply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Development, and Manufacturing teams to translate demand forecasts into material plans.
  • Manage material planning and procurement activities in support of manufacturing schedules and MRP requirements.
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities and collaborate across multiple business functions.
  • Develop and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships to support supply continuity.
  • Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for commercial and development products.
  • Optimize safety stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment parameters.
  • Monitor ERP transactions and material movement to ensure inventory accuracy and continuity of supply.
  • Manage raw material inventory to balance service levels, supply risk, and inventory investment.
  • Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders for direct materials and expedite critical orders when needed.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve supply, delivery, and invoicing issues.
  • Support scenario planning, reporting, and supply chain analytics activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning efficiency, inventory management, and operational performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in supply chain planning, materials management, procurement, inventory control, or related functions within regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar industries preferred.
  • Strong understanding of materials planning, inventory control, procurement coordination, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of GMP environments and product lifecycle management, including new product introductions.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
