Operator for Second Shift

Newly Weds Foods provides premium ingredients and food coatings to some of the biggest brand names in the country! We are currently looking for an operator for second shift to join our team at our Watertown plant just outside of Boston. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US and we do not offer H1B visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this role.

This position pays double time on Sundays and triple time on company holidays. Overtime is frequent and paid out at 1.5 x wage.

Job Summary:

Performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting packaging goals for customer orders by bagging product on packaging lines. This employee will rotate to other position at the pack lines as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Properly sets up machine for startup.
• Verifies ingredient being bagged.
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed.
• Fills bags with product as per the required weight and maintains packaging line standards.
• Required to assist in stacking at the end of the line as needed by loading boxes/ bags onto pallet.
• Complete paperwork as needed.
• Must maintain the integrity of the product.
• Must assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keeps area and equipment clean; follows LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• 1 year minimum of packaging experience in food manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work by Good Manufacturing Practices 'GMP's'
• Must be a team player, food manufacturing is all about teamwork!!!
• Must have good attendance
