Director, Market Access Marketing

The Director, Market Access Marketing is a results‑driven leader responsible for shaping and executing U.S. reimbursement and payer access strategies across Sarepta’s portfolio, including the PMO franchise, gene therapy products, and SiRNA‐based therapies. This role ensures products are optimally positioned for coverage, reimbursement, and adoption across national and regional payer landscapes.

• Develop and execute the U.S. Payer, Access & Reimbursement marketing strategy for the entire Sarepta portfolio.
• Create value propositions and payer messaging platforms in collaboration with Medical Affairs and HEOR that reflect the clinical benefit and economic impact of Sarepta’s therapies.
• Synthesize and present payer, access, and reimbursement strategic recommendations to executive leadership, covering benefit design, prior authorizations, appeals, coding, and site‑of‑care regulations for specialty and infused therapies.
• Serve as core member of the Commercial Strategy, Marketing, and Diagnostics Leadership team and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to align and execute payer and reimbursement strategies.
• Oversee strategic partners and vendors to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of access‑related initiatives in compliance with Sarepta’s regulatory and compliance policies.
• Lead the review process for access‑related promotional materials and manage the workflow to maintain medical, legal, and regulatory compliance.
• Train and support field‑facing promotional materials with field teams.
• Allocate and manage the Market Access Marketing team budget.
• Build, lead, and develop a Market Access Marketing team that aligns with company growth objectives.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the field.

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MS, or other graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the biotech industry, preferably in orphan or rare disease; at least 3 years in pharmaceutical brand management/marketing/market access.
• Experience in the successful commercialization of specialty therapies, preferably in the rare disease space.
• Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments for orphan or rare disease therapies.
• Proven history of collaboration with cross‑functional teams and experience shaping market access strategies, brand plans, and payer marketing tools.
• Prior experience launching buy‑and‑bill products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently, prioritizing competing demands.
• Experience developing and managing promotional budgets and overseeing third‑party vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with internal partners and operate effectively in a matrix organization.
• Strategic thinker with the capacity to influence and lead across functions without direct authority.
• Creative problem‑solving skills, patient‑focused mindset, and strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

• Competitive salary range: $185,600 – $232,000 per year.
